Eliot Jones, Midnight Superhero

Eliot Jones, Midnight Superhero has become Eliot, Midnight Superhero.  He is very popular for KS1 classroom activities, and I’ve enjoyed doing workshops with Eliot.

Most recently I visited Lord Scudamore Year 1s in Hereford.  In one class we began to brainstorm their own undersea superhero.  With two of the other classes, they were very keen to find ask questions about being an ‘author’.

I did some really enjoyable workshops with Burdett Coutts Primary School in London with the Islington Writers for Children.  You can read about the 6 weeks of workshops we did there on our buzzaboutbooks blog.

Sometimes you can Eliot him on Cbeebies when Eliot Jones, Midnight Superhero is read by Jonas Armstrong.

Here are some links for teachers to various suggestions for using Eliot in the classroom.

  1. naturally like your web site however you need to check the spelling on several of
your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues
and I in finding it very troublesome to tell the truth however I’ll definitely
    come again again.

  2. Hi, can I please ask if the storyline for Eliot Jones midnight superhero is the same as Eliot midnight superhero. The first book has been identified as a text type for school but we have been told its no longer available. The I came across this second book and would like to clarify if its the same. thanks

    • Apologies for this late reply. The storyline for Eliot Jones, Midnight Superhero is exactly the same as Eliot Midnight Superhero. The publishers brought out the new edition with a new cover and and the slightly modified title. Hope your class enjoys it! All the best, Anne
